After Metal Blade signed us I started thinking about playing out again. Metal Bade wanted us to, they flew me (Dan) to Germany and I did 77 interviews  in 5 days. We owed them. Scott was down in Dallas, so we flew him up and played The WreckRoom and sold it out. We got paid three times more than ever before. Dave handled the old stuff well. We played a couple more shows and rehearsed almost every Saturday. We made Saviorself and Exist To Resist with only a combined total of 14 rehearsals.....imagine what we could do if we rehearsed every week. Ed was becoming a songwriter (In the past he would usually contribute a few riffs here and there), Alan was at the top of his game and I"m no slouch myself (In actuality I am a terrific slouch). I played bass on most of these songs, because Scott still lives in Dallas, and  the other guys encouraged me after they loved my bass line to Ed's masterpiece "Align The Planets". We asked D.D. Verni to play bass on "Bitter"...you think a guy like him would have a ego? I asked D.D. how much money he wanted, he said "Just buy me lunch" . Billy Milano who has a management office above Big Blue came down and sang on Reprise. Right after he did it I said to him "In 6 months I know I'm going to ask myself," Why did Billy sing on a Hades cd (He always told people we were a country rock band, or so I heard). " Billy replied "I asked myself that same question five minutes after I did it!" This disc is our  best sounding cd ever. Yeah one or two songs sound like N.F. that's part of who we are.The song "It's A Wonderful Lie" is the only old one. Yes that's Alan on all the vocals for "Hoax", and no that's not Alan singing behind Dave on Pay The Price that's all Dave (Except on the Euro bonus track - that's all Alan Something else I just remembered. I think Dave thinks he arranges my songs, I just remembered him and Ed trying to  convince me to make Ground Zero NYC two songs, because I wrote the opening way after the rest of it. Buy this cd February 22 2000. And just so you know, as I write this (New Years Eve) we already have the music to about 6-7 new songs. See you at Wacken in Germany in August. The Wreck Room March 4 2000. Dan
